the american craft council asked j.jorgensen design studio to be one of the four designers chosen to make a room at their 2016 show in St. Paul. so many fruitful connections + friendships sprouted from this event and i am so grateful for the opportunity to meet so many local and international makers.
each designer was tasked with choosing a cardinal direction to influence their space. i obviously chose NORTH. i am a minnesotan, after all.
true to word, based on my last journal entry, i faced my fears and went bold with my color selections. everything became blue : azure, cobalt, indigo + navy.
icy, cold, hardened blue everywhere.
i had the pleasure of working with local fashion stylist, Jose Ayala. not only is he smart and a ton of fun, but he captured the essence of my room and the North while maintaining his signature style.
